Day 345 – A day at the museum

A day at the museum

The end is near… only 20 more photo’s to go and I will finish two years, 730 days, of daily Lego pictures.

I have mixed feelings about it to be honest. I am going to miss the adrenaline rush of making the daily photo, it is kind of an addiction, BUT I am looking forward to a little more freedom. I learned a lot about (Lego-)photography in the past two years and I’m still learning on a daily basis.

Next year I will keep making pictures of course. Without the daily commitment I can go a little deeper. Spend a little more time perfecting the idea, a little more time on the build (I would’ve done the build in today’s photo very differently if I had the time), a lot more time on the setup and lighting and experiment with more difficult techniques. Stuff that was not possible because of the stress of the daily commitment. One other thing I’ll miss though is the fact that I HAVE to make the photo… A lot of my better photo’s (imo) are split second decisions because I needed an idea THAT moment!  it really got the creative juices going, so I’ll have to find another way to stay creative.

So… looking forward to some freedom and looking forward to delve deeper in every aspect of my Lego-photography. 🙂

And something that I will continue at the current pace….  HERE’s the latest episode of the Foolish Lego webcomic, episode 139!
