2-134 Show of hands
Ah, I wonder how he got elected… then again, I wonder that for a couple of real life politicians too.
Light sources
I am experimenting (amongst other things) with the lighting (again). I’m trying to get it a bit more natural and with some contrast in there. It’s not yet as I want it to be, the lighting itself is a bit flat in my opinion. But too bright is not right either.
What I’d really like is to work more and more with natural light-sources. Lamps in the set itself for example. I’ve been wanting this for a long time. However, there are a few problems.
The first problem is the lights itself. I would like to have small lights that can fit into Lego lamps and such AND I would like these (LED-)lights to be dimmable AND to be easy to place Oh and they aso shouldn’t be too pricy. My wishlist is long, but if I had to choose small and dimmable!
The second problem is the many reflections on mainly the heads. I often ‘play’ a little withe the location of the lights in order to get rid of reflections (they are annoying to postproces in Photoshop). And if I build the light into the sets they are not supposed to move that much. In combination with the relative blunt movement-capabilities of the minifigures that might cause problems.
I think brickstuff may be able to help out. I’ll contact them…
The photography in this one is certainly great. Noticeably different than previously, but I would have never been able to put my finger on it without having read your blurb.
You art always been great. I’m not afraid to say it’s the best on the internet when it comes to LEGO webcomic. Natural lighting is, IMO, your signature on your 365 projects.
Now, I’m not yet convinced by the lighting for “indoor” shots and I’m sure you’ll keep working on it. Can’t wait to see the changes 😉
Keep up the good work!
