1-210 Pushover

These are frogs with problems!

He could be a hero… but does not seem to be

As I was saying before, on vacation I read a few books on writing scenario’s. It was about movie-scenario’s, but there was lot of interesting stuff I could use for writing the next Foolish Lego-comic. It also answered a lot of questions about problems I have with the current comic. And I also realized there are more problems with the current story that I imagined. But hey, this story started as an experiment, and in a lot of ways it still is. But I am still learning… and I definitely learned a lot this vacation. I don’t think I can fix all problems, but I’ll do my best.

One of the things is that I always thought of Barry to be the “hero / protagonist”… but as the comic went on, for me, he just isn’t the hero. He’s missing a lot of features that makes him a hero. One thing is that everything happens TO him, in stead of that he makes things happen, he also doesn’t seem to have a real problem that needs solving, etc. This episode addresses these issues in a small way… but doesn’t solve them. That makes me wonder; who do you guys see as the hero in this comic and why?
