The impression of movement… I love trying to recreate it. Using the cape like this is a great idea, and nicely done.
Yup! The cape is a definite winner!
Also, I have a supply of “Fun-Tak” for just such a purpose as you use the clay. The standard color is blue, but I also keep some white and yellow. It’s also good for helping minifigs hold things that don’t really fit well in the hand (like my custom smoking pipes). I know that using tiles on everything (like the modular building sets do with sidewalks), makes it pretty (and easier to dust), I tend to leave my level surfaces with studs out.
Part of the reason for that is my storage for Ballinabricky town is to keep it all set up on shelves in a lively, busy street scene, and to have all my walking minifigs, grazing animals, and little bicycles falling over all the time would drive me nuts!
‘Fun-tak’, yes! That’s the clay I mean; in the Netherlands we call this stuff ‘Pritt posterbuddies’
